- Description:
- This is an optional control means/method for the robotic hand using an Arduino Nano microcontroller and an Android device.
- Includes Version 0.1 of the robotic hand Bluetooth Android application and Arduino microcontroller firmware.
- The application allows an Android device to be used as the user interface for an Arduino microcontroller via Bluetooth.
- The application was developed using MIT App Inventor and is currently designed for Android operating systems (APK file format) using Bluetooth classic.
- The application was not designed for and has not been tested with Apple products using Bluetooth Low Energy.
- The Arduino microcontroller firmware allows users to control the robotic hand using the integral toggle switch and slider in the application, a single potentiometer, or a hobby-level EMG sensor.
- For those with minimal coding experience, the firmware HEX file can be flashed directly onto an Arduino Nano microcontroller via the Arduino Web Flasher Tool.
- The microcontroller firmware was developed around the Gravity: Analog EMG Sensor by OYMotion available from DFRobot.
